oh this star

So I have been to the best play ever! It's called Sleep No More and is a re imagining of Macbeth. It's in an abandoned high school in Brookline and takes up four floors. It's like walking through someone's strange creepy nightmare. You stumble on to random scenes so everyone has a different experience and you can go where ever you want and are encouraged to explore. I wish I could explain how detailed everything was. Every room was amazing, there was even snakes in a bath tub in one. Real live snakes! A room full of pine trees was another favorite of mine. It took us almost 3 hours to explore everything and the scenes we came upon were quite creepy. No one talks, no one in the play or the audience. Everyone who is not in the play is wearing these white masks which just adds to the eerie feeling.




I've been telling everyone to go see it. It was amazing! I'm so glad Aaron heard about this. Sleep No More

It's all about the food for me.

I'm laid up in bed with what I think is a sinus infection or what I like to call sinus infucktion. I'm hoping it will go away on its own but we'll see.

Todd and Meg's wedding went smoothly and everyone had a good time.  Todd got stung by a bee on his eye before the ceremony.  It was also rainy during pictures so our shoes got ruined and dyed my feet green.  Oh I also got a flat tire on the way to the rehearsal dinner.

Oh MBTA you suck.  Another disabled train today which meant I was late for work.  The Boston transit system is so old and poorly run and yet so many of us rely on it. 

Todd and Meg's wedding is this weekend.  I'm sure you are all thrilled because then I can stop talking about it.  Dress picked up today, I have a few things I need to do tomorrow (like start watching season two of Dexter) and then Friday we leave for western Massachusetts.

I'm sad I'm not dressing up for Halloween this year due to the wedding.  Next year I am going ALL OUT with some insane costume.  At least I like my brides maid dress.

No motivation today.  I'm in a good mood I just don't feel like working.  I also just ate some chips for no good reason at 10:45 am.  I'm a salt fiend today.  All I want is massive amounts of salt.

Three day work week due to the wedding on Halloween.  I spent my weekend helping Meg with wedding stuff and eating lots of stuff with cheese in it.  Seriously, I just need to buy a cow at this point.

My lj posts are quite short lately but there hasn't been too much going on right now.  same old same old.  I was poking around to see what cats are out there that need adopting.  I found one that looks really cute and sweet but I'm going to wait a little bit and if she's still around then it's meant to be right?

My cat Boo had been acting sort of strange the last two weeks.  He had been howling randomly and was more clingy than usual.  I noticed he was a little unsteady on his feet but I just thought it was because it was getting cold and he's an old cat with a bad hip.  Last night though it got really bad.  He kept falling over and couldn't get back on his feet.  I put him on my bed and he went to sleep with me.  In the morning he still couldn't walk although he was trying, he just couldn't keep himself up right.  I called my vet and asked if I could bring him in asap.  They said I could so I put him in the carrier and drove to the vet.  He slept most of the way there.  

The usual vet who sees him was there and did a quick exam on him.  His heart rate was low and his body temperature was so low the thermometer couldn't read it.  He was also dehydrated.  The vet said it was most likely renal failure but that they would have to do more testing and that because he's so old and because of his symptoms it probably wasn't worth it.  The vet said if I brought him home he would probably die in 24 hours or less.  Considering he couldn't even move around I decided to have him put to sleep at the vet's office.  It was very quick.  He didn't even fight the injection.  I kept petting him the whole time and I could tell when he was gone.  It was so strange just seeing him there knowing he wasn't alive anymore and how quick the whole process was.   I miss him already.

October is turning out to be a very busy month.  I don't have a weekend free until November.  I have been enjoying my long weekend though.  I'm cooking pumpkin bread for boss' day tomorrow. 

Meg's bachelorette party is this Friday.  The wedding is coming up fast!  Actually fall is going by too fast for me.  It's going to be winter before I know it.

AFI concert Wednesday, dress fitting Thursday, bachelorette party Friday, birthday party Saturday, rest?  I have no idea when....

I'm considering starting to do some solo traveling.  There are so many places I want to go and although I would prefer to travel with someone I don't want to not go just because of that.  Have any of you traveled solo?  I seem to be asking my livejournal friends lots of questions lately.

One place I really want to go to is New Zealand.  It seems like such a beautiful and friendly place.

I'm getting over a cold.  I have no more sneezing and I have no cough, no sore throat.  What I do have is pain in my chest.  If I breathe too deep, if I walk up stairs or walk too much it starts to hurt and when I bend over it hurts and I get a shortness of breath.  I also can only sleep on my back because it is too painful to sleep on my side.  I'm trying to hold out until Monday when I can get in to my doctor.  I've had this since Wednesday but last night it started getting worse.  I was wincing when I was walking because it hurts.  

So yea this sucks.  I have no idea what is wrong with.

I've been sick all day.  I think I have a little bug or ate something that didn't agree with me.  I can finally hold down food and liquids now.

Matt brought me crackers and gingerale which was nice.  I hope I feel better for the shower tomorrow.

My aunt died.  Killed by the same thing that killed my father.  I stayed at their house for a bit when my dad died.  Now my cousin has to go through it.  He's about a year older than I was when my father died.  My family is pretty much all over the place on vacations.  I finally reached my mom who is on a cruise.  I just feel horrible for my Uncle and cousin right now.

I've been horrible with updating lately.  We finally have summer weather though and with my brother back I've been out of the house a lot.  He left this morning and will probably be back around Christmas (I hope).  The time just flew by!  I can't believe its already August.

I feel like I need a week long vacation somewhere.  I haven't taken a whole week off of work in a very long time.

I've been dumped.  Story of my life.  Why do I even bother.....

I can't handle multiple days of rain.  It really has a horrible affect on my mood.

I need pop tarts or something.

How is it Monday again?  I'm not a fan.

My weekend was busy but pretty good.  Darryl's birthday was on Friday so we went to the Middlesex Lounge to dance.  The dj wasn't very good.  I get so annoyed with crap dj's because I feel like I could do better.  

Had another date with the boy mentioned in my last post on Saturday and that went really well.  I've come to the conclusion that I talk to much and really need to shut my mouth sometimes.  I guess it's just who I am.

Ok off to work.

I bought this giant bottle of wine to share with Darryl and Twatt except they are not here yet and are TAKING THEIR SWEET TIME or not so sweet time because this is NOT SWEET.  So now i'm in my room dancing to lady ga ga (a boy and a girl and ha and a game) and drinking wine and wathcing some vampire thing on scifi that does not involve Edward Cullen but does involve that dude from Veronica Mars.  Logan? Crap I cant remember and I miss that show.

ANYWAYS>  back to me drinking this HUGE BOTTLE OF WINE.  WTF people it's just right here and you're out in Brookline across the river when I'm here in Somerville wtaching bad vampire crap.  Darryl is llike a girl when he gets ready even though he wears the SAME GREEN SHIRT everytime we go out.  why am I capitalizing everything!!!!!!  Who knows, the wine knows.....

So I was on myspace and stupid guys keep sending me messages "hey babe what's up  U R Hotttt."  Really that's what you have to say.  You look like donnie osmond which freaks me out and your tattoo is SHIT.  In fact it's so shit I would call it TIHS which is SHIT backwards.

Oh it looks like a Kevin James look alike is on this vampire show and he just got killed.  Damn sci-fi has shit movies.

I haven't seen the sun in days so the combination of waking up to sunshine and it being Friday has put me in a good mood.

I'm hooping (as in hula hooping) at a birthday party next Sunday.  $150 for a half hour of hooping, I'll take it!  I don't charge that high.  I just let people pay me what they want and I tell them that when they ask me how much I charge. 

So I on my forearm I have this tiny little bump the size of a pea that  I can feel under my skin.  It's a little tender when I touch it but I can't see a bump just feel it.  Anyone have any idea what this is?  I just noticed it.
